The Untitled Symphony

This was an interactive installation that was done at Gallery 1313 Toronto. The installation included visuals and sound. In the space you

"SAW WHAT YOU HEARD,AND HEARD WHAT YOU SAW"

The visuals were created by using a microphone to collect the sound in the environment.The sounds in the environment were then transmitted to a computer program which i created, that takes sonic waves and turns them into numbers. Which are then used to create the size, color, and position of various shapes.That are then displayed on the wall through a projector. All the sounds that were made in the space was seen.

The sounds were created using a webcam to capture the 3d visual mapping of the environment. Which are then transmitted to a computer program which i created, that takes visual mapping of the space and turns them into numbers. Which are used to create frequencies of various sine waves that you hear. Which we hear through the speakers.The movements in the space was heard.

At the end of the experience the viewers were allowed to give a title to what they felt it was like to be in the space.

The room was able to interact with itself when people weren't interacting with it.

Creating an interesting ambiance that can only be experienced from afar.

This project is part of a series of installations that aim to bring together strangers,friends and family in the community, by using various techniques to create art together.The space encourages people to interact with those around them and their surrounding.
